Bernadette Cullinane

Bernadette Cullinane is the Deloitte Australia Energy, Resources and Industrials Industry Leader and the Energy & Chemicals Sector Leader.

 

Bernadette has more than 30 years of experience across the energy, LNG, chemicals and resources value chain. She supports companies to improve business performance and efficiency, implement growth strategies and new technologies, tackle the challenges of the energy transition and become more sustainable and inclusive.

 

Bernadette is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia and Board member of the Chemical College, President and Life Member of the Energy Club of Western Australia, Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Member of Chief Executive Women, and Director of METS Ignited, the Industry Growth Centre for Mining Equipment, Technology and Services.

 

She is active in the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and was recipient of the 2024 Award for Sustainability and Stewardship in the Oil and Gas Industry for South Asia & Pacific Region.

 

Since moving to Australia in 2007, Bernadette has been involved in the Australian Energy Producers industry association. For the last decade, she has been a member of the organising committee of AOG Energy conference.

 

Bernadette speaks frequently at energy and resources industry events and conferences and writes on trends and developments in the Australian and global industry.

 

Prior to joining Deloitte, Bernadette was Managing Director for Energy in Accenture Australia and APAC Energy Lead from 2007 to November 2016.

 

Throughout her career, Bernadette has held senior global energy sector roles, including with Exxon Company International, Esso Singapore, Arthur Andersen and SAIC.
