Applications now open: The DFCRC HDR Showcase 2026 is an online event on 23 June 2026 for PhD students at Curtin University and the University of Western Australia. Shortlisted applicants will pitch their digital finance research to a DFCRC panel for the chance to receive a PhD Top-Up Scholarship, Research Seed Grant, or entry to the DFCRC Affiliated Student Program. Applications close 5 June 2026.

As a post-graduate student in the Digital Finance CRC you will have the opportunity to work with global leading researchers in finance, law, and technology combined with industry partners from established players in Finance, Mining and Energy markets, Australian SME innovators, regulators and cyber-security expert centres. This will provide you with a unique opportunity to build your skills and career through strong networks with research and industry working at the heart of innovation in creating the foundation and new systems to fuel Australia’s digital economy.
Our offerings include three main scholarships – Industry PhD scholarship, PhD Top-Up scholarship, and Honours Scholarship – as well as the DFCRC Affiliated Researchers Program, which includes a pathway for PhD students who are contributing to research in Digital Finance to connect with DFCRC for academic development, research dissemination, professional networking, and the advancement and promotion of digital finance research.
In addition, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) specialising in Digital Finance is available through some of our partner universities. Developed in collaboration with leading institutions like the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and Curtin University, this specialised MBA will equip professionals with the advanced skills required to lead in the fast-evolving world of digital finance.
