DFCRC HDR Showcase 11 November 2026

About the Showcase

The Digital Finance CRC is holding its HDR Showcase Event on 11 November 2026 from 13:00 – 17:00 AEDT. Eligible PhD students are invited to apply to present their digital finance research to a DFCRC panel and be in the running for one of the following:

• PhD Top-Up Scholarship – $15,000 per year, renewable for up to 3.5 years
• Research Seed Grant – for self-funded PhD students
• Entry to the DFCRC Affiliated Student Program, including research travel grants and access to events and masterclasses

Who should apply

Currently enrolled PhD students at Macquarie University, University of NSW and University of Technology Sydney whose research aligns with DFCRC’s digital finance priorities. Domestic and international students at any stage of study are welcome — a student can be part way through their PhD and still be eligible.

How it works

• Submit your application by 16 October 2026 via the application form below.
• Applications must include:
  • CV
  • Research proposal (max 4 pages) covering the research problem, questions, methodology, expected outcomes, dataset(s) used, and relevance to DFCRC’s research agenda
  • Proof of primary scholarship (if applicable)
  • Brief supervisor supporting statement
• A DFCRC panel reviews submissions and provides feedback to shortlisted applicants
• Shortlisted applicants deliver a short presentation at the Showcase Event on 11 November 2026.
• Winners are decided and announced on the day.
